It comforts me to know that Jesus promises us healing for the broken hearted. Even in the darkest of situations there is hope. I have walked through some dark days and difficult circumstances yet Christ has brought healing to my life. I have written this book to share with you the journey God has taken me on and some of the tools He used to bring healing and lasting freedom.
Isaiah 611 says, "The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners."
And yet, your path to healing may not look exactly like mine. We are all uniquely created with different backgrounds and life circumstances. Therefore, I do not believe there is just one step-by-step system.
However, in this book, I am going to share with you practical steps you can apply to your life to receive healing emotionally and spiritually. Please do not feel like you need to do every single step that I share with you. Instead, I encourage you to pray and ask God for wisdom. Ask Him to show you which specific steps you should take on your path to healing, and then, take that first step.

I have read a lot of books on this topic but this one is one of my favourites. I loved how the author shared so much of her own story, without drama or self-pity but rather a quiet acceptance of her own weakness without the LORD. I loved how she pointed to Jesus as the one who does the healing.Like the cover, this book was a soothing, comforting read with solid strategies for healing. It was a short read, with no fluff or filler. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for solid Biblical answers for getting over deep struggles.

This book is for broken people. You and I are, in some form or another, all walking wounded--shattered and hurting from life. Some may be hurting desperately, and some not so much, but we could all use some healing in our souls. The author writes from a unique perspective, in that she was addicted to pornography, which most women would not admit to, let alone write a book about. The beautiful thing about this book is that she relates her experience in healing from this experience, and also relates how we can also receive the same healing for our hidden sins and hurts. She gives practical steps in asking for wisdom from our creator in pinpointing the cause of the hurts, and then taking the action necessary to heal. We may be different colors, sexes, and nationalities, but we all have souls that need to be released from some heavy burdens. If you are sad, downcast, or brokenhearted and ready to give up, please give this book a read. I guarantee that if you follow some or all of steps that the author outlines, you will experience glorious healing and redemption.
It does not take long to look around and discover that there are a vast amount of hurting people that need to be encouraged and equipped to break free from the shackles of life. I purchased this as an audible book and was extremely hurt by it. It talks about our debts being forgiven and then describes our debt as a DEAD CORPSE on our backs. The reason I bought this book was because I am brokenhearted over the sudden death of my son. There are probably others who are broken hearted over the death of a loved one. I was shaking after this part and as quickly as I could, I turned it off. But she goes on and on about the dead corpse, so as I was frantically trying to turn it off she kept on talking about it and using that term. I just can't believe an author writing about a broken heart would use that as an example. It was apparently not thought out very carefully.
This book may be better for someone who needs serious healing, or broken. Sadly I was surprised that this book was a bore for me and read a few pages and had to end it. Basically it was things I was familiar with and read before in other materials aside from this book. I know it a diamond in the rough for someone who is having a rough time and need this supplemental material at the drop of a hat. I read her other short reads and was pretty decent.
Some wonderful sentiments, no matter your religious beliefs. Forgiveness is indeed powerful, and healing is possible. The chapter on accountability is very interesting.
"Your path to healing may not look exactly like mine," the author says, and she explains that since we all have differing needs and circumstances, there is not just one step-by-step method to achieve healing.
I like the humility of that introduction and I like the depth of resources she supplies. Two aspects of those resources impressed me. First, every point she makes, every step she suggests, is anchored in Scripture. In this way, she directs me to what God has said, along with the benefit of her opinion. Second, she shares her personal journey from brokenness to health, and her simple, conversational style draws me close, so I gain insights of my own along the way.
Beyond these two vital elements, the author provides the bonus of links to online articles and references to books for further study.
As I came to the last page, I found myself thinking that this is a book of hope--not only for the person struggling with heartbreak, but for the one who watches and wants to help.
Down to earth, well written book that addresses the broken heart in language that is easy to understand and relate to as you know you are not alone in this process. I would recommend this book,
